How it all Began

Hey there, I'm Julie ~ the owner and curator behind Groovy Growing!

After graduating from FSU in 2020 with a degree in marketing, I worked for several women-owned small businesses. Actually, I've unintentionally only ever worked for women-owned small businesses. Funny how life works out!

I knew I wanted to start my own business, but I didn't know what I wanted to do. I started flipping furniture and reselling thrifted home goods. I enjoyed that work, but I didn't love it.

One day, as I was watering my houseplants, I was trying to figure out what I could do to enjoy my days to the fullest. Then, it clicked. I'd be happiest spending my days outside hanging with my plants and being surrounded by the beauty of nature.

I began brewing on ideas and many months later, I launched Groovy Growing in July of 2022.

Plants truly bring me so much joy, and now I'm on a mission to simply create joy in the community. I hope to make everyone who steps into my booth feel welcomed, appreciated, and leave feeling better than when they arrived.
